Graduate Seminar Series
Four 1-credit-hour graduate seminar courses are offered in the department. Each course is a single semester course with one-hour recitation per week. Four courses (BAE 815, BAE 816, BAE 817, BAE 818) have unique curriculum and are offered consecutively.
Seminar requirements
- Every master’s student is required to take two different seminar courses for two credit hours in their program of study.
- Every doctoral student is required to take all four seminar courses for four credit hours in their program of study.
- Every graduate student is required to make at least one technical presentation in the graduate seminar course.

BAE 815 | Graduate Seminar 1: Literature Review
Presentation and discussion of research philosophies, procedures and results for engineers with emphasis on literature review.
BAE 816 | Graduate Seminar 2: Academic Writing and Publishing
Presentation and discussion of research philosophies, procedures and results for engineers with emphasis on academic writing and publishing.
BAE 817 | Graduate Seminar 3: Data Interpretation and Presentation
Presentation and discussion of research philosophies, procedures and results for engineers with emphasis on data analysis, interpretation and presentation.
BAE 818 | Graduate Seminar 4: Research Presentation and Teaching
Presentation and discussion of research philosophies, procedures and results for engineers with emphasis on research presentation and teaching.
