Environmental Engineering

Environmental engineers design systems and solutions to sustain the quality of people’s lives and the planet. As environmental challenges continue to develop, demand for this field will continue to increase.

The environmental engineering (ENVE) bachelor's program integrates engineering fundamentals and design principles with biology, chemistry and earth sciences to design systems to address environmental challenges. The program places emphasis on the efficient use of water, the quality of ecosystems and water treatment.

K-State's program is the only Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering offered in Kansas. Courses for this multi-disciplinary program are taught by faculty from biological and agricultural engineering, civil engineering and chemical engineering departments.
